Is Safe the New Risky?

As the credit crunch and recession continues to hit the financial and professional sectors hard, it is becoming clear to the masses that there is no safety or security in a job anymore. (If there ever was!)

With 1 in 12 Americans out of work and a lot more globally we are now in a new economy and need to reinvent ourselves fast.

This brings us to the place where more and more professionals and previously ‘secure’ people in the corporate world are now looking for other answers.

What was once considered ‘safe’ is now considered risky. Relying on your boss for a pay check is something most people can now only do month to month, or even week to week.

The self-employed sector is well aware that ultimate financial control comes from owning your own business.

For corporate workers it may come as something of a shock, and through no fault of their own they are now experiencing a rude awakening.

We have been so conditioned over the years to think that a job is the best way to go. Our parents repeatedly told us to ‘get a good job.’
The reality is that even without this current recession or new economy there are no more jobs for life and no more juicy pension plans waiting for us at age 60.

It’s very sad but in another way it is very empowering. Out with the old guard and in with the new. Self employed entrepreneurs are positioned brilliantly to prosper as they have known this has been coming for some time.

Network Marketing (MLM) and direct sales is booming, and those of us who are already established are in a unique position to help a lot of people create a new financial plan and streams of cash flow.

Robert Kiyosaki of ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ bestselling business author really had his finger on the pulse when he predicted several years ago that network marketing would become a haven for millions of people looking for a new and better way to take financial control of their destiny.

Professor Paul Zane Pilzer, who has served as economic advisor to two US presidents and is well known for his wild economic predictions that have been seen to come true over time, said something very similar.

He said that direct selling has become the wealth creation vehicle choice of millions and that home based business entrepreneurs will be among the richest in our new economy.
